We are looking to hire a Retail Account Manager in our Montreal office whose main goal will be to focus on customer retention and growth. This Account Manager will play a critical role in building relationships with significant clients. Our ideal candidate should ensure client satisfaction and be able to identify new opportunities to increase sales. This person must have excellent communication skills with a customer service attitude as they will serve as Prodco’s main point of contact for assigned customers. Account Managers begin to interact with customers as soon as the sale is closed and will help them roll out and use the Prodco platform. This person will also be responsible for understanding the needs of existing customers in order to add solutions to their existing package.

Responsibilities

• Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts; aiding the sales organization as required to onboard new clients, and deepen the relationship with existing clients
• Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Overseeing the management of customer accounts, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and customer stakeholders
• Maintains regular contact with account base, and increases revenue by positioning and demonstrating new and existing services, preparing appropriate ROIs, and closing the expansion sale to meet monthly sales quotas
• Develops a strong understanding of the customer’s business and use cases
• Provides consultation on the use of Prodco based on client’s specific needs
• Maintains broad knowledge of company capabilities versus the competition
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Experience

The person who fills this role will be someone who:

• Has strong verbal and written communication skills and is able to communicate technology as an approachable and understandable tool
• Has strong organizational skills and is not afraid to “roll up their sleeves” to ensure smooth execution
• Is a team player; works well with cross-functional teams and is team oriented to ensure maximum results for client and Prodco
• Is a quick learner and able to work autonomously
• Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
• Solid experience with CRM and Quoting software (e.g. Salesforce, Autotask, Connectwise, Quotewerks, Quosal) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
• Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
• Having a self-awareness that leads to be open to feedback and dedicated to self-improvement

• Undergraduate degree in business or other relevant discipline
• Strong presentation skills
• Fully Bilingual – English and French

• 2 years’ experience in retail sales or operations, customer facing account management or project management roles.
