TIS-100™ Thermal Imaging Camera

The TIS-100™ is a ceiling mount people counting sensor with the imaging optics, sensor, high speed signal processing and interfacing electronics all contained within a molded plastic housing. The unit functions optically, sensing heat generated by people only, passing underneath as thermal images, through a germanium lens.
The TIS-100™ detects and reports how many people enter and exit a location. The units may be used as a single counting node, or configured to span a wide opening. There are 2 count lines, which are user-configurable in a number of ways. Both line position and shape can be configured. The count increments when a target crosses the designated line in a specific direction. Directional and non-directional count increments are also user selectable.
TIS-100™ key features
• The most accurate sensing technology in the industry

OS-12C™ Active Infrared Mini Beam
The OS-12C™ infrared mini beam sensor is designed to offer precision operation in a small and unobtrusive package. It is a side-mounted beam sensor that is ideal for counting traffic through entrances and doorways.
Precision Operation
Every time someone breaks the sensor beam, the OS-12C™ sends a signal to the traffic counter, and then resets itself to count the next customer. Because the sensor is capable of resetting itself in less than one millisecond, the OS-12C™ can count multiple people entering your store, even if they are only one half inch apart. The optimal height to mount the OS-12C™ is 54 inches above the floor. At this height, the unit will count most adults and older children who typically influence the purchase decisions. In short, at 54 inches high, the unit will not count most non-buying traffic. For example, the unit will not count strollers, shopping carts, or smaller children because they are below the 54-inch threshold. This means the traffic count you receive will more accurately represent buying traffic versus non-buying traffic. Because the system uses an infrared beam, it is not affected by lighting changes.
Small Footprint
Ideally, traffic counting systems should be as unobtrusive as possible because shoppers don’t like to feel as though they are being observed or monitored. Therefore, the OS-12C™ is a compact design. In fact, the sensor is small enough that it can be mounted directly into the doorframe, making it virtually unnoticeable. In stores where it cannot be mounted into the doorframe, it is mounted in a small, compact housing connected to the doorframe by aluminum mounting brackets. If required, these brackets are then painted the same color as the surrounding trim to help them blend in.
